Culinary Day Camp Summer 2020

NOTE: This camp is offered in French only, therefore it is important that the child attending be able to understand and communicate in the French language. 

Robin des Bois, CAMP DE JOUR, été 2020

We are very pleased to announce that we will indeed have a day camp at Robin des Bois this summer.

We will be following the recommendations of CNESST. Everything will be set up for outdoor and indoor activities adapted to the new guidelines.

Only 7 children per group. Each child will have his own table/work plan for the week. We have enough space in the dining room to respect distancing guideline and they will wear a Robin des Bois mask when this is not possible.

We ask each child to bring their own paring knife, peeler, and a large plastic cutting board. No wood, please.

The mornings will be hosted by the friendly and talented Chief Amélie Acloque.

A privileged immersion in the reality of a restaurant kitchen. Discover local, eco-responsible food. Type of cooking. Fermentation. In short, they will participate in the production of the kitchen in the dining room.

At noon, they will taste dishes from our menu as well as a few surprises from chef Amélie. After lunch, they will leave with Marie-Joëlle, to play sports, theatre games, go to the pool, visit the garden, and more.

The camp starts at 9am and ends at 5pm.
We can welcome the children from 8:30 am.

The day is conducted mostly in French – We call that free French immersion and a great way to practice those language skills!

Children Should Bring:
Bottle of water, sunscreen, towel, bathing suit, cap, raincoat, paring knife, peeler, and a large plastic cutting board. Not made of wood.

Week 2            Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July
Week 4            Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July
Week 6            Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7
Week 7            Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14
Week 8            Monday  August 17 to Friday August 21

Rate: $395 + taxes for the week.
*The group is composed of a maximum of 7 children, aged between 9 and 12 years old.

Typical Day
9:00 AM – Culinary activity outside or inside in the dining room. No access to the kitchen.
10:00 AM -Snack
11:30 AM – Lunch
12.30 PM – Cultural/sports activity
4:oo PM – Return to the restaurant
