Great dinner, loved the vibe, and the helping others by eating well concept!
“Robin Hood” restaurant is run as a non-profits, with earnings going to a charity. Food was outstanding, lots of vegetarian options. Two of us got one of the tasting menus for two, this was particularly good with grilled octopus, excellent soup, tofu and asian salad. Cocktails were tasty too, particulary the one with rosemary. Wait staff were friendly and happy to be volunteering to raise money for the charities. Great concept!
After a walk up and around Parc Mont Royal Robin Des Bois was a convenient location for lunch prior to our Fitz and Follwell 3hr bike ride around Sth Montréal.
A great varied menu which suited all four of us. The food was great in a quick quaint cafe.
Good food with a conscious and a surprise!
Walking down rue Saint Laurent we were accosted by two charming 8-10 year olds who breathlessly asked us (in French) whether we were looking for somewhere to eat and handed us a card which explained that the profits of this restaurant go to 4 charities whose focus is children.
Inside we were greeted by a restaurant being run by children (with supervision!) who charmingly took orders (in pairs and threes for comfort) delivered food, inspected tables with a refreshing directness which may have lacked some subtle finesse but had its own beauty. The food itself was lovely, I had a wonderfully seasoned vegetable pizza. But the experience was unforgettable.
If you like “the secret lives of 5years olds”etc and lovely food I recommend you get here during half term!
Everything was perfect! The food is tastfull (duck and mountain side were delicious). Service is great! The concept (charity) is admirable!! A jazz bend was here and made the atmosphere unique. The interior design is beautiful! I highly recommend this place!
