Job Offer: Accounting and Finance Manager

Established in 2006 and located at the Parc La Fontaine chalet since 2021, we are experiencing growth that drives us to seek a motivated Accounting and Finance Manager to join our team.

Your Role

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Accounting and Finance Manager will handle all accounting operations.

Additionally, you will analyze performance indicators and support the Kitchen, Bar, and Events managers, particularly in cost analysis and work schedule management. You will establish internal controls and maintain and improve the accounting system.

You will play a key role in the establishment’s efficiency and profitability.

Main Responsibilities

Perform Accounting Tasks (70%)

  • Handle the full accounting cycle to produce monthly financial statements;
  • Record Véloce (POS) and Zeffy platform sales;
  • Record and pay suppliers;
  • Record bi-weekly payroll;
  • Make month-end journal entries;
  • Perform bank reconciliations;
  • File and remit taxes;
  • Analyze balance sheet items monthly;
  • Manage insurance files (liability and property);
  • Analyze financial data over a given period to summarize and present information to management and the Board of Directors;
  • Prepare the annual budget and monitor it (in collaboration with the management team);
  • Manage year-end files for auditors;

Management and Analysis (25%)

  • Ensure logistics and profitability of work schedules in Agendrix;
  • Calculate food and alcohol cost prices;
  • Analyze the profitability of events;

Foundation Administration (5%)

  • Record transactions related to the Robin des Bois Foundation;
  • Participate in the Annual Fundraising Project;

Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum DEC in accounting or other relevant training;
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Proficiency in the full accounting cycle;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software (highly valued);
  • Familiarity with Agendrix and Employeur D (an asset);
  • Highly autonomous;
  • Versatile and flexible;
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships and team spirit;

  • Permanent full-time position;

Located in the idyllic setting of Parc La Fontaine, we’ve grown to include a variety of activities ranging from live performances and DJ parties to day camps, bingo nights, and more.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic team. If you have what it takes to run a kitchen, manage a team, and ensure health and safety standards are met, this position is for you!

Position Details:

Title: Kitchen Manager
Schedule: Evening shifts, 4 days a week, 9 hours per day
Salary: Based on experience
Location: Robin des Bois, Parc La Fontaine, Montreal

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor supplies and place orders to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Team Management: Oversee kitchen staff, coordinate tasks, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all hygiene and safety protocols are followed to guarantee the quality and safety of meals.
  • À la Carte Menu & Events: Manage a fixed à la carte menu while remaining adaptable for catering and special events.

Desired Profile:

  • Experience Required: Minimum 3 to 5 years in a similar role, including kitchen and team management.
  • Key Skills: Inventory control, hygiene compliance, ability to work under pressure, leadership, and strong communication.
  • Personal Traits: Independence, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and creativity.
